Sonic the Hedgehog known as the blue blur first came to our screens in 1991 with the release of Sonic the hedgehog on the Sega Master System. Sonic was created as Sega needed their own Mascot to compete with Nintendo's Mario. The were lots of Sonic games released across all console formats the basis of the games is for Sonic to stop Dr. Eggman from achieving world domination plans.
