November 1995 brought the release of the Playstation 1 in Europe. It was a 5th generation console that was Sony's Maiden voyage into the console market. Looking to compete with the Big guns Nintendo and Sega. Wipeout, Ridge Racer and Rayman are 3 of the launch titles for the the playstation.

Ps1 Games choice

Playstation games will forever be famous for their black colouring on the underside of the disc. The game cases we made specifically for the games and much like the Sega Dreamcast cases they are easily damaged more difficult to replace than that of a normal cd case. Some titles came in standard double cd cases like the Sega Mega CD games, this makes replacements easier and cheaper.

Most memorable ps1 games

Everyone will have played the Crash Bandicoot games and Spyros game on the console. The introduction of Metal gear Solid made by Konami and written by Hideo Kojima the Man behind Snatcher for the Sega Mega CD system. Metal Gear solid is a stealth game released in 1998 It is based on Solid Snake a soldier who infiltrates a nuclear facility to neutralise a terrorist threat. Snake must free hostages and eliminate the terrorists ability to launch a nuclear strike. The game sold 7 million copies and revolutionised the stealth genre of games. Metal gear Solid Special missions was the only other one released on the ps1, Sequels were released across later consoles but the original really gripped teenagers all over the world and put the playstation on the map for its cinematic cut-scene abilities.

Final Fantasy is a legendary RPG series of games in Europe we got

vii will always be a favourite as it was the first that used 3 dimensional graphics and play. I will always remember the Chocobo Racing and breeding from the game. Along with other mini games it was an enticing game that many spent hundreds of hours playing.
