32X is an add-on for the Sega Genesis video game console. Codenamed "Project Mars", the 32X was designed to expand the power of the Genesis and serve as a transitional console into the 32-bit era until the release of the Sega Saturn.
There are 23 32x games in cartridge form and 4 cd games, 20 of the cartridge based games are in cardboard boxes and the other 3 akklaim games came in clamshell plastic cases like the mega drive games. the 4 cd games are in mega cd style double disc size cases. The big 3 games are T-mek, Darxide and primal rage. All 3 are difficult to find and also very expensive. So be aware whilst only a small set it can be very expensive and difficult to finish.

There are a number of reproductions out there so be wary also there are a number of conversions that have been created to pal from the ntsc range of games which can be found online in various outlets.
The cases on the boxed 32x games are made up of a cardboard outer and also a cardboard inner, it is common for damage on the cardboard inner and also sticker peel damage on the outer. Box protectors are a good option for a collector.
